The tool calculates total shipment volume, then divides that volume by the selected shipping divisor to estimate chargeable volumetric weight.
6000 is common for general air freight and 5000 is common for express shipments, but the carrier rule should always take priority.
Not always by itself. In many cases the billed weight is whichever is greater: actual weight or volumetric weight.
